My mum was the eldest of 4 children and the only daughter of Jessie and David Coote she had 3 brothers David, Alan and Brian the family were close and had a good upbringing, my mum had me at 19 and had the support of her family behind her she went on to have Andrew, Graham then a wee blessing in the form of Louise, she was married to Graham for 15 years before Graham was sadly taken from us, she struggled on bringing her 4 children up as a widowed mother she made us proud everyday and we wanted for nothing, she had 1 grandaughter Ciara who idolised her. Sadly in December 2007 we found out that my mum had bowel cancer and she fought a short battle with the cancer for 5 months before she was taken from us.

God looked around his garden
and found an empty place
He then looked down upon this earth
and saw your tired face
He put his arms around you
and lifted you to rest
God’s garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
get well on earth again
He saw that the road was getting rough
and the hills are hard to climb
So he closed your weary eyelids
and whispered, “Peace be thine”
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home

You can shed tears that she is gone or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back or you can open your eyes and see all she has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her or can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember her and only that's she's gone or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back or you can do what she'd want;
Smile, open you eyes, love and go on.

Time has taken me from you,
Although not very far.
I'll be watching through the sunshine
And through the brightest star.
I'll be watching all of you,
From the heavens up above.
So take good care of each other
And carry all my love.
If you're ever wondering
If I'm there, here's where you can start.
Take a look inside yourself
Deep within your heart.
I'll always be your Mum,
Your Gran, your Sister and your best friend.
So anytime you need me,
Close your eyes I'm back again.

Rose Beyond the Wall
A rose once grew
where all could see,
sheltered beside
a garden wall,
And as the days passed
swiftly by,
it spread its branches, straight and tall...
One day, a beam of light
shone through
a crevice that had
opened wide ~
The rose bent gently
toward its warmth
then passed beyond
to the other side
Now, you who deeply
feel its loss,
be comforted ~ the rose blooms there ~
its beauty even greater now,
nurtured by
God's own loving care.

God saw you

God saw you getting tired
when a cure was not to be
so he wrapped his arm around you
and whispered "come to me"
Gods garden must be beautiful
he only takes the best
and when I saw you sleeping
so peaceful and free from pain
I could not wish you back
to suffer that again.
